BSLI Accidental Death & Dismemberment Rider

 
Benefits
100% of the coverage face amount paid in case of death due to accident.
100% of the coverage amount paid in case of loss of more than one limb or sight in both eyes or loss of one limb and sight in one eye.
50% of the coverage face amount is paid in case of loss of one limb or sight in one eye.
The rider coverage terminates once we pay all or part of the coverage face amount.
 
Exclusions
The rider will not be payable if death or dismemberment results from or is accelerated by:

Suicide or self inflicted injury, whether the life insured is medically sane or insane.

War, terrorism, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, martial law, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, riot or civil commotion. War means any war whether declared or not.

Service in the armed forces, or any police organisation, of any country at war or service in any force of an international body.

Committing an assault, a criminal offence, an illegal activity or any breach of law.

Taking or absorbing, accidentally or otherwise, any intoxicating liquor, drug, narcotic, medicine, sedative or poison, except as prescribed by a licensed doctor other than the owner of this policy or the life insured.

Inhaling any gas or fumes, accidentally or otherwise, except accidentally in course of duty.

Body or mental infirmity or any disease.

Participation in aviation other than as a fare-paying passenger in an aircraft which is authorised by the relevant regulations to carry passengers between established aerodromes.

Under Sec 80 C and 10 (10 D)of the Income Tax Act 1961**

Section 41 of Insurance Act : No person shall allow or offer to allow, either directly or indirectly, as an inducement to any person to take or renew or continue an insurance in respect of any kind of risk  relating to lives or property in India, any rebate or the whole or part of the commission payable or any rebate of the premium shown on the policy, nor shall any person taking out or renewing or  continuing a policy accept any rebate, except such rebates as may be allowed in accordance with the published prospectuses or tables of the insurer.
